Information

Sauk County Fair Winter Storage Season
Yearly Seasonal Contract Dates

Start – November 1st, 2026, and run to April 15th, 2027

Vehicle pick-ups May 1st – 8th, 2027

Things to know:

*We store: rv’s, travel trailers, pop-ups, boats, cars, & motorcycles, canoes, etc.

*Reservations accepted NOW!

*We start accepting vehicles in October.


FALL DROP-OFF​

*NO VEHICLES MAY BE DROPPED OFF PRIOR TO COMPETING A STORAGE CONTRACT

*Winter Storage Contract is seasonal, full payment is due at start of season. (not monthly)

* Full Storage Payment is due at time of vehicle drop off at fairgrounds
*Payment is check or cash, CC payment has additional transaction fee of 4%.

*Provide proof of insurance on your vehicle at the time of storage contract completion.

*Insurance MUST be kept on the vehicle for the entire storage season.

*Vehicles dropped off in October for the Commercial Bldg. will be outside until November.
*There is no access to vehicles during the storage season.

*ALL EARLY OUTS MUST be declared at time of contract completion.

*Undeclared early outs will be charged an early out fee (one hour minimum).
Fee based on number of vehicles needed to be moved to access customers vehicle.
*No refunds for early outs. We do not store electric vehicles.

SPRING PICK-UP

*Buildings will start to be emptied on April 15th, 2027,
Starting with the Commercial Bldg. & J.L. Pavilion.

*Persons storing in those buildings, may pick-up as soon as items are out.

Other buildings will be emptied gradually between April 15th and May 1st, 2027

*As buildings are emptied storage items will be parked outside of buildings,

at the fairgrounds, during this time.

*All winter storage items must be picked up no later than May 9th, 2027.
Items not picked up by the deadline will incur a late pick-up fee.

Based on Vehicle Complete Length
(from hitch ball to end of vehicle (including stored tires, props, trailers, etc.)

and Storage Rate/Foot of Building

Complete Length of Vehicle (in ft) X Rate/Foot of Building (then add tax to total)

Total x Tax= Cost of FULL SEASONAL WINTER STORAGE

$16.50 per running foot – Commercial Building (enclosed, cement & locked)

$16.50 per running foot – Badger Building (enclosed, cement & locked)

$15.50 per running foot – Progress Hall (enclosed, dirt floor & locked)

$15.50 per running foot – Horse Barn (enclosed, gravel & locked)

$15.00 per running foot – John Litscher Pavilion (open on two sides, cement floor – no lock)

$15.00 per running foot – WCCU Livestock Pavilion (open on two sides, cement floor- no lock)

$14.00 per running foot – Jay’s Ag & Turf Barn # 15; McFarlanes’ Poultry & Rabbit Barn (open air on four sides w/wire, dirt floor – no lock)

$ 9.00 per running foot – Open / outside on grass

$50.00 per season – Canoes and Kayaks

$90 per season – Motorcycles

Cost Example:

Progress Hall – rate $15.50/ft (full length)

25 ft vehicle x $15.50/ft=$387.50

$387.50 x .055=$21.31 tax

$387.50 cost + $21.31 tax=$408.81 total for the season- Nov to April end date.

Total for the SEASON- Full Balance due at drop off!

Payment

Payment is due before storage or at the time of storage.

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 is needed for new customers to lock in the storage for the season and hold a spot for your vehicle that we know we have room for. It is not needed to be on a waiting list.
